The CalhamBerkekey Group is a not-for-profit 501 c 3 tax-exempt community-based corporation serving Maryland, Virginia, and the Washington, DC, eligible metropolitan area (EMA).
THE CalhamBerkekey GROUP’s holistic approach emphasizes wellness, prevention, and self-help for the healthcare consumer dedicated and committed to advancing health equity, implementing and delivering initiatives that address the social determinants of health or the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, and age.
The CalhamBerkekey Group provides individuals in underserved, at-risk, disenfranchised communities with tools and knowledge designed to reduce or mitigate health disparities and timely access to quality healthcare and social services for people experiencing disadvantages due to their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, income, socioeconomic status, skills-set ability, citizenship status, or geographic locations, that pose barriers and challenges to accessing quality medical or lifestyle resources.
The CalhamBerkekey Group recognizes that access to quality medical and lifestyle resources can be a challenge, due to lack of health insurance, transportation, and employment challenges, which negatively impact the human condition.
Service Delivery
The CalhamBerkekey Group will directly provide model support for individuals, groups, and institutions identified with employability skills challenges through partnerships, networking, and referrals from other service providers in the following areas.
Providing “work week” training program-related services during non-traditional “off times,” making training programs easily accessible so clients do not have to miss work.
We Develop training programs that specifically target high-risk, underserved populations.
We Provide “online” training programs for individuals with facility-based challenges related to program attendance.
We Provide “online” “lunch and learn” employability skills training programs for individuals, groups, and institutions during lunchtime and after work hours.
